Medu Vada by Vah Chef

Medu Vada/ Vadai is a specialty snack from southern India. Vadais are shaped like doughnut, and made of Urad Dal (white lentils) batter. Urad dal is first soaked into water for 3 to 4 hours and then ground to fine but thick batter. This batter then deep fried in hot oil. One needs practice to make these doughnut shaped Vadas. These delectable vadas can be served with Coconut Chutney and hot and spicy Sambar.
