Karela Pakoda - Bitter gourd Fritters


Bitter Gourd is very bitter in taste, but has tons of health benefits. I have posted Stuffed Karela earlier. To make Stuffed Karela, we need to peel Karelas. Peels are also very nutritious. This recipe uses karela peels for making 'Pakodas'. Karela peels (grated) are mixed with variety of flours and few dry spices. This can be a great option for snack. Recipe is in marathi so I am giving below the list of ingredients.





grated Peels of Bitter Gourd
Rice Flour
Jowar Flour (Sorghum Flour)
Gram Flour
Bajra Flour (Pearl Millet Flour)
Wheat Flour
Garam Masala
Red Chili Powder
Turmeric Powder
Sesame Seeds
Dry Coconut, grated
Roasted peanuts powder
Salt to taste
