Sago Laddus for Fasting


When you are fasting, there are limited choices available. Making dishes of few ingredients, which are allowed by the Hindu fasting rituals is a challenge. Since many Indians fast regularly, Indian fasting recipes have evolved to use different ingredients in variety of cooking styles, staying within limits of fasting restrictions. This video shares recipe of Laddus made of samo and sago flour. It is a new variety of Fasting snack. If you have roasted flours ready, it will be a very easy job :)


Ingredients and a tip for non-Marathi readers.
1/2 cup roasted Sago Flour
1/2 cup roasted Samo Flour
3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
2 tbsp Ghee
Golden Raisins
Almonds
Cardamom Powder

If you are not able to form Laddus because of
  • Dry mixture, add very little Ghee or Milk.
  • Mushy mixture, add enough flour to get perfect consistency.
