Mutton Kheema by Amhi Sare Khavayye


The word Kheema means minced meat. Kheema is a very traditional Indian meat dish. It can be prepared with any kind of meat. In this recipe, mutton has been used to make kheema. Mutton kheema is made flavorful by adding onion, tomato, garlic and various aromatic spices. To give nice creamy flavor cashew paste has also been used.
Mutton kheema goes well with any Indian bread. Enjoy!!


1/2 kg Mutton kheema
2 to 3 tsp cashew paste
2 medium Onions, finely chopped
2 to 3 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Kitchen King masala
Whole Garam Masala (Green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves, Star anise)
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Red chili paste
2 tsp Red Chili powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
2 tbsp Curd
1/2 tsp Turmeric
3 tbsp Oil
little water
and salt to taste

1) Saute Whole garam masala into hot oil for few seconds.
2) Add onions and saute till light brown. Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste. Saute until tomatoes become mushy. Add mutton kheema and cook for few minutes.
3) Add little water, other dry spices, yogurt, cashew paste and salt. cook for few minutes. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
