Corn Bread Balls by Amhi Sare Khavayye
The following recipe is a healthy snack recipe, specially for kids. You can do any variation according to your preferences. Corn flakes, puffed unprocessed rice, popped Sorghum seeds are very healthy. Along with those, different vegetables like carrot, peas and other spices are added to the mixture. This tasty mixture is them stuffed in bread slice and deep fried to get a crispy stuffed ball. This is a quick recipe and kids would love it.
Ingredients:
Bread slices
Corn Flakes
Grated Carrot
Paddy Puffed Rice (Popped unprocessed rice)
Puffed Sorghum (Popped Jowar)
Onion Paste
Steamed green peas
Coriander powder
Chat masala
Cumin powder
Ginger-garlic paste
Lemon Juice
Green chili paste
Salt to taste
Cilantro, finely chopped
In a bowl add corn flakes, crush them. Add grated carrot, steamed Peas, Onion Paste, Popped Sorghum, Popped Rice, Coriander powder, Cumin Powder, Chat Masala, green chili paste, ginger garlic paste, salt, cilantro and lemon juice. Mix well.
Remove edges of the bread slices. Soak in the water and remove excessive water by pressing it between the palms. Stuff the mixture and make a round ball. Deep fry and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
