Ukadiche Modak


Traditionally Modak are made on the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival, which is Lord Ganesha's Favorite food. Ukadiche Modak means steamed sweet dumplings, made by using Rice flour and Coconut-Jaggery mixture. Making modak is a skillful work and it also need practice.
Modak is exclusively made during Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. It is given as offering to Lord Ganesha.
